Everything Is Scary All The Time - Issue #3 - Better Late Than Never
So Much To Do, So Much To Talk About
If you haven't been following me on social media, then you might be wondering why this monthly newsletter is coming out so late. If you are following me, then you won't be shocked that this issue is coming out three weeks late.
The last month has been an absolute whirlwind of writing and seemingly unending book releases. In addition to a vampire novella about a failed marriage that I've been (slowly) writing with the talented Jacob Steven Mohr (he's absolutely incredible and you should check him out if you haven't already), I've been hard at work getting the second issue of Laughlin Hills Community Magazine finished up along with a few short stories set to come out over the next few months.
If that wasn't enough, my novelette Magnum Opus came out on August 30th from Timber Ghost Press, Laughlin Hills Community Magazine: Issue 1 - Fall 2022 came out on September 14th from DarkLit Press, and my debut novella, This Is Where We Talk Things Out, was released on September 22nd, also from DarkLit Press. Additionally, one of my all-time favourite stories, "The Amphitrite", came out in Phantasmagoria Magazine (issue 21) earlier this month, with one of my all-time favourite poems, "Sticky Sweet", being re-released in the anthology A 3-B Halloween, to nicely round out the month.
Needless to say, I'm exhausted!
September was a wonderful reminder that good things come to those who work, and it's inspired me to try and make November just as productive.
(But not October... I think I'll be sleeping through most of that.)
If You're In Toronto And Feeling Social...
... then why not come to my book signing at Little Ghost Books, located at 930 Dundas Street West? I'll be there on Saturday, October 1st, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. signing copies of Palimpsest and my debut novella, This Is Where We Talk Things Out. I'll also be giving away free copies of my novelette, Magnum Opus, to the first fifteen people who show up!
If you're unable to make it, or not in the Toronto area, then be sure to check out the Little Ghost Books subscription box for the month of October, where you'll be able to add a signed copy of one (or both!) of my books to your box!
